Adventure Island: Maps as Tools for Adventure
This interactive activity reinforces map symbols by allowing students to pair objects with symbols on a map. The activity also includes instruction on map keys and what should be included in a key.

Students use maps, symbols, and keys to find places and solve clues. Students can choose the difficulty level, as well as whether they want to do a "Land Adventure" or "Sea Adventure."

This interactive activity reinforces directions and map skills by instructing students to find the quickest route from one location to a specific destination. Students must help George deliver ice cream cones to his friends before the ice cream melts.

Using Cardinal Directions
This interactive activity allows students to use the cardinal directions in order to direct a car from point A to an assigned destination. The activity provides an excellent compass rose and easy to follow directions.

Place the States
This interactive activity allows students to practice placing states on a map, recognizing their shapes, and locations. Each state also links to a webpage with information about the state including history and legislative representation.

Map It!
This site includes several interactive maps. The student can choose to "Map It!" by entering any location, and allowing the map to locate said destination. This could be a useful tool in reinforcing the capitals of our nation and state.
